Pre Ballet/Jazz (ages 3-5)
This class is an introductory combination class that teaches young dancers foundational dance techniques and provides students with creative movement. The Ballet half builds posture, Olexibility and grace while the Jazz half adds energy, rhythm, and dynamic movement through fun choreography. At this age dancers start to Oind basic coordination while having fun and Oinding enjoyment through dancing!
Ballet/Jazz Level 1 (ages 6-9)
At this age dancers are ready to learn the core skills starting with stretching and barre work. As the class progresses dancers will practice center floor work, jumps, turns, kicks and small combinations to work on learning choreography and musicality.
Ballroom (ages 6-9)
Ballroom dance helps children improve their coordination, balance, and
rhythm while promoting physical fitness in a fun and social environment.
Additionally, ballroom dancing enhances social skills by teaching kids how to interact with peers, follow directions, and work as a team. It fosters self-confidence and boosts self-esteem as they learn new steps and perform in front of others. Moreover, the discipline required in dance encourages focus and dedication, valuable skills that extend beyond the dance floor into academics and other areas of life.

Summer!
Drop Off/Pick Up - To ensure classes begin on time and run smoothly, we kindly ask that dancers arrive at least 5 minutes before class and that parents/guardians plan to return 5 minutes prior to dismissal.
Gold Ballroom respectfully requests that parents and guardians refrain from observing during class. Having an audience can be distracting for dancers and may encourage side- coaching, disruptions, or a performance mindset rather than a focused learning environment. Allowing students to work independently helps them build confidence, concentration, and a deeper connection to what they are learning.
At the close of each session, students love to share their progress! We will invite parents and guardians in for the final few minutes of class to celebrate what their dancers have been working on.
Dress Code - DRESS CODE POLICY IS MANDATORY! The reason for Dress Code is to enforce proper body placement and ability to learn correct technique. Gold Ballroom will NOT tolerate a sloppy appearance and dancers may be excused from class if Dres Code is not followed.
Studio Rules - No chewing gum, food or colored drinks in the studio and in class. Only water in closed containers are permitted.
Cell phones and electronics must be completely silenced and stowed away in bags. RESPECT THE SPACE!! Do not hang on barres, touch the mirrors, or wear outside/ street shoes in the classroom.
Students who are late MUST ask the instructor before entering class.
Class Etiquette - Be appreciative to correction and apply them.
Be kind to your classmates and instructors. Rudeness is unacceptable. No talking in class!
Make sure to clean up your belongings - do not leave a mess!
After class ~ say “Thank you” to your teacher :)
